| Event Name: Small Business Training and Matchmaker |

| Description: This event is being co-hosted by the LaGuardia Community College Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Rockland County Economic Development Corporation Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and the DoD Northeast Regional Council.
Wednesday, November 18th, there will be an afternoon training session held for Small Businesses only. There will be two additional sessions following the small business training session: A Service-Disabled & Veteran-Owned Roundtable session; and a Preparation for a Matchmaker session. Representatives in attendance at the roundtable include the Department of Veteran Affairs Office of Small and Disadvantage Business Utilization and Veterans Service Agency, Westchester County.
Thursday, November 19th, there will be an all day matchmaker event during which small businesses will meet for ten minute appointments with Prime contractors, Federal agencies, State organizations and the PTACs.
Friday, November 20th, the Northeast Regional Council will meet. This meeting is for Prime Contractors, Federal, State & City Agencies and PTACs only.

| Event Name: Starting Your Business 101, A Four-Week Series on Small Business |

The program offers two-hour weekly sessions, for a total of four weeks, that cover the essential topics such as how to write a business plan, create an effective marketing plan, decide upon a legal structure and acquire the necessary financing and insurance. Classes are designed to be interactive and are led by industry experts who ensure that each two-hour session is an engaging experience.
Registration is $15 a class or $30 for all four-class series for AWIB members. For non-members registration is $25 per class or $75 for the four-class series. Seating is limited. Registration with payment must be received by October 30, 2009.
